Haldi can create quite a mess. Wear whatever is comfortable for you (cottons are a great choice) and avoid wearing clothes that are too expensive - turmeric stains don't come off clothes. 😬
Mehendi Ceremony
Preferred colours : BRIGHT COLOURS PLEASE!
Ideally during the ceremony, henna is applied to your palms in beautiful, intricate patterns. Short sleeves or sleeveless clothes are recommended if you are keen to get some henna on & take a piece of India back with you!
Wedding & Reception
Preferred colours : No reds.
